We’re making great progress building Walney Island’s state-of-the-art gigabit broadband network, and from Thursday 25th July the team will be moving onto the next phase in the West Shore South area.
We may require access to lampposts (lighting columns) on your street, and there may be some unavoidable disruptions and temporary pedestrian diversions in place. Our team may also ask you to temporarily move vehicles, or to park on driveways where possible.Â
The good news is that we hope to complete the street works in your area within 10 working days.
What's more, we will also be starting work on a further phase within the Carr Lane Estate on Monday 29th July which will last around five days.

The best broadband package for you will depend on how you use your internet and how fast you want to go! If there are just one or two of you online browsing, our 250Mbps is probably all you need. If there are more of you at home and you're all online at the same time, you'll probably need our 500Mbps package. We'd recommend our fastest package of 900Mbps if you're gaming regularly, or uploading large files.
If you move home to an area where you can get Voneus, your contract will continue. If you can't get Voneus at your new property, you'll need to cancel your contract by giving us at least 30 days' notice in writing.

Wireless broadband uses radio signals to deliver high-speed broadband. Transmittors on masts send the signal to smaller radio receivers on your property. Wireless broadband is much quicker to build and install as it doesn't involve digging up roads and laying cables.
