Foxton Granta crowned back-to-back Champions!
Foxton Granta wrote their name into the history books at Lord’s, retaining the Voneus Village Cup with a commanding 145-run win over Stayley.
Richard Kaufman produced a masterclass, hitting 122 to become the first player to score centuries in consecutive finals. His innings laid the platform for Foxton’s imposing 265 for 4, before their bowlers turned the screw to bowl Stayley out for 120.
But this final wasn’t just about the winners. Stayley, who only joined the competition in 2021, have enjoyed a remarkable journey to the Home of Cricket. Their run to the showpiece highlights the talent, spirit, and passion at the heart of grassroots cricket.
On the biggest stage of all, both teams delivered a spectacle worthy of the occasion. Congratulations to Foxton Granta on back-to-back titles and to Stayley for an unforgettable campaign that won plenty of admirers along the way.

Celebrating community, connection & cricket
At Voneus, we believe in the power of local communities, and there’s no better example than village cricket. That’s why we’re proud to be the title sponsor of the Voneus Village Cup, the UK’s longest-running national village cricket competition.
Since 1972, this iconic tournament has brought together over 300 villages from across the country to compete, connect, and celebrate the spirit of grassroots sport. Whether it’s match day excitement or post-game gatherings, the Village Cup is about more than cricket, it’s about people, pride, and bringing rural Britain closer together.
Just like our broadband, it's built for connection, no matter how remote.
Follow the journey, meet the teams, and explore how we’re championing connectivity both on and off the pitch.
