We’re exceptionally proud to share the exciting news that Voneus’s very own Alan Seldon, our head of HR, Risk & Compliance, was included in the 2020 New Year’s Honours List.

As well as being an invaluable member of the Voneus team, Alan has been volunteering in the Metropolitan Police since 1978.

In 2007 he had the idea to create a specialist crime function called ‘ArtBeat’ to investigate highly specialist and complex crimes involving works of arts and antiques. Under Alan’s guidance, the Artbeat team reunites stolen art works with their rightful owners.

“Everyone here is in absolute awe of Alan – not only is he a diligent and important member of the Voneus team, he’s undertaking truly incredible and groundbreaking work in the highly complicated area of art fraud. The whole of the Voneus team would like say congratulations to Alan on this most fantastic of achievements,” said Steve Leighton, CEO.

Alan will be presented with his British Empire Medal (BEM) at Buckingham Palace later this year.
